Baby's heartbeat!

I have an appointment with my midwife tomorrow. I will be just 14 weeks. My scan put me back a week so when the midwife booked the appointment she thought I'd be 15 weeks. Will she listen to baby's hb tomorrow and if so are we likely to hear it. I thought it was easier to find around 16 weeks?

Depends on the MW. Some won't even look for it before 18 weeks because if they can't find it it can stress Mums out and doesn't actually mean a thing.

I also had my 16 week appointment at 14 weeks (along with my 12 week scan at 10 weeks, I appear to be a bit ahead of myself :)) and the midwife did listen for the heartbeat and managed to find it straight away.

That said I was quite surprised about it as I had heard a lot of people say that she wouldn't listen and that it can be really hard to find that early so I guess it will depend on the midwife in questions views on the matter.

Thanks. I'm going to ask to wait a couple of weeks. Because if they don't hear it, I'll be stressing!
