3 weeks PG?

I haven't had a period in 6 weeks (I actually put it down to some medication I've been taking -- thought it might be messing with my cycle as had read similar stories). Did a pregnancy test around 3 weeks ago - negative. It confirmed my original thoughts of NOT being PG. Started to feel a little PG did test yesterday - got positive so automatically assumed I'd be around 7 weeks considering the length of time since last period.

The sonar showed no sac at all, 'just a little something on there' she said which is strange for someone who should be at least 7 weeks. They sent me off for a blood test, called me to say I am 3 weeks pregnant and that I've to see doctor again on Saturday.

I have the usual early PG symptoms but I'm strangely nervous and can't understand the mix up with my dates.

Anyone?

Well you said yourself the meds could have messed up your cycle.

So you could have ovulated a lot later than you normally do.

How long are your normal cycles?

What about when you had sex?

That would make sense. I just can't get my head round it...duh!

Normal cycles seem to be anything between 22 and 26 days.

Sex, don't recall particular dates except for one (only because we went on a break with the children - 29/30 Sept).

I hope it's possible now that I know, IYSWIM.

So the blood test showing 3 weeks was 2nd Nov?
(though i'm guessing these things may have some leeway, never had blood tests to check)

That would rule out the weekend away, more like the 11/12th of Oct.

Went this morning to a maternity hospital (I'm not in the UK at mo), had another scan, he said there was no sac but the part that should be enlarged is and that signals pregnancy.

Results from yesterday's blood test: 420.

Am to go back in 10 days.

He mentioned ectopic pregnancy and to watch out for the signs and the donts :( Sure hope that's not the case but we are all baffled by the dates.
