How many blood tests have you had?...

Im 19 weeks and only had one lot of bloods taken which was straight after my 12 weeks scan. When i saw the midwife at 16 weeks she looked a bit confused why id only had one lot.

Is this right?

I'm 17 weeks and have only had one lot (taken at 8 weeks) which were for HIV, syphillis, rhesus status etc.

actually I had a second lot but that was specifically in relation to downs screening at the 12 weeks scan. Next mw appointment isn't till 25 weeks so assuming wouldn't have anymore yet.

Did your MW say what she was expecting to have been done?

22 weeks and 1 lot. The second lot will be at 28 weeks I think.

As far as I remember these were the only bloods I had last time as well.

booking appointment lot & the one with the nuchal scan. I'm 14 weeks.

How many vials of blood did they take can you remember? The booking lot was about 6 vials, the scan lot just one. maybe they did all yours at the same time?

Im sure in my last pregnancy 5 years ago i had loads, unless im just thinking i spent most my time there.

Ive got my scan in 2 weeks so will ask then, thats where they do the blood at my hosp, they have their own blood bit.

No MW didnt say what she was expecting. We didnt have any results from the blood id had which i think she was wondering. Spoke to hosp now tho and they only let me know if there are probs otherwise i wont hear. All negative then phew :-)

I got the results of the nuchal one so they mustve done them at the same time. I remember they took 4 tubes.

I had bloods done at my booking appt when I was 8wks, a second set done at 16wks and will get my next ones at 28wks. When I was pg with DD in 2008, they didn't do any at the booking appt.

Forgot to say, in the back of my notes there is a grid showing the weeks at which I'll have my appts and what'll happen at those. But I'm in Scotland so not sure if your notes would be the same?

1 - booking in appointment
2 - 12 week scan
3 - 28 weeks

At 9wks then got to go again next week which will be 17wks.

I'm 12 weeks, but in France, so don't be alarmed by my blood tests so far.

1. to confirm pregnancy a few days after missed period
2. one week later lots and lots of vials to check for everything, plus a second one in my other arm to do blood group
3. one month later to check toxomosplosis (how do you spell it?) and rubella.

Have turned down the opportunity to have the nuchal scan bloods, I will be getting the toxomosplosis every month, plus a few other things that they think up I expect.

hmm writing it down I have given pints of the stuff - am 37 weeks

1 - booking in bloods
2 - bloods at 12 week scan
3 - bloods at 24 weeks to confirm I really am Rhesus Negative
4- 28 week bloods

additional

5- liver function bloods as was v itchy
6 - bloods at 34 weeks as midwife wanted to rule out pre-eclampsia

non at booking appointment
1st lot at 13 weeks for nuchal downs test
2nd at 24 weeks
3rd at 28 weeks.
expecting 4rd lot next week at 31 weeks

i am 13 weeks and had

1 at 8 weeks
2 at 12 weeks

will have my next one at 18 weeks because i am in the high risk category...
