Blood pressure -how low can it go?

Have just had 25 wk appointment with very busy/ double booked midwife. This is DC3 and I normally have fairly low blood pressure but I was quite surprised by my reading today. It's 113/50 - diastolic is normally mid-60s. Student midwife expressed surprise too but normal mw said it was fine. Is that because the top figure (sistolic?) is fairly normal for me? Just curious really.

I think it depends on what's normal for you. My bp is normally around 110/70 but dropped to 80/50 at one point and I was having dizzy spells and passed out at one point. Mw was concerned then and told me to get on the floor as soon as I felt dizzy (even if I'm in a supermarket Blush ) so that I didn't fall and hurt baby/ myself.

If you are worried that you're not feeling right or feel it's too low for you then talk to your mw about it. It is normal for bp to drop a bit in pregnancy so try not to worry too much.I read somewhere that not drinking enough can lower your bp so make sure you're getting enough water.

Luckily mine has gone up a bit now to 105/63 but think it will always be low. Good luck and HTH

Mine's always super low: 90/60 on a good day! I've always been like this and had a spate last year (not pg at the time) of it being even lower than that Means I've been feeling odd and light-headed sometimes, not too much of a concern.
