Hello

Bit of an embarassing and yucky question but my tummy is acting up, for the last three days I have had such bad wind it is making me sick and dh angry!!! Seriously bad smell like - but I will try to go to the toilet and nothing. Especially bad at night.

Also I keep getting feelings in my tummy like I am going to have diarhrea (sorry spelling).

My poo has been very soft and smelly.

I drink plenty of water and eat healthy so why is this?

lol, yes I had something similar to this! (in fact I remember most of us march girls saying the same around 8 weeks ish (if not sooner) dh hated going in the loo after me!

if you're really concerned see ur m/w, but the smelly part is normal. (I hope!)

I stank for about 2 weeks, my farts were rank. It did clear up quite quickly though.

MINNIE1 · 16/09/2005 09:20

I am 25 wks and had the same.. Wind, bloated, farts were ok but i would stink out the loo. Its normal and i had a dose of the runs this week aswell..

are you sure you didnt eat something that could disagree with you? i got bad tummy after a mouthful of milkshake that was off (in a restaurant!). you can get tummy upsets easier when pg. are you avoiding the prawns, blue cheese etc?

i'm 16 weeks on sunday (urghhh! according to hospital 15 today according to me!) getting little bits and bobs now.

how r u coming along?

dandycandyjellybean · 16/09/2005 09:54

I think it is related to the fact that food stays around a lot longer in your digestive system once you are pregnant, allowing your body to get absolutely all the goodness from it, but meaning that it all gets a lot smellier than normal. Nothing to worry about.

I'm 7+3wks (according to early scan last week) at the moment and I was talking to my mw about this on Tuesday. I said I was having to go to the loo 3-4 times a day with this problem. I was finding it really worrying, especially as I had a mc back in June and couldn't remember having anything like this with DDs. She said that it was down to the baby, (even though it's small) resting on my bowel/bladder. She said it eases off between now and 12wks when the baby gets bigger and moves out of the pelvis.

I had something similar in my early pregnancy. Everytime I ate I would get diahrea afterwards.

I also usually have very smelly farts during pregnancy

Actually, it's quite nice to smell worse than dh for once - it gives me a chance to get my own back.

I am 6 weeks and 6 days today and I thought I had a tummy upset but I guess its just pg! Feel sick and then get terrible cramps and horrid poo after eating . The worst thing was that one day the poo was so horrid, when I wiped myself I thought it was discharge and nearly fainted with shock thinking I was having another m/c.

Feeling better to know I am not alone
