My boobs clearly had a growth, er, spurt, last night - woke up all crusty!

Not sure how this happened as in past all I have seen is the odd white bubble come out of nipples if I gave a little squeeze. Am 34 weeks though and last night woke up to do a wee and nipples all covered in dried crusty milk - ick! Is it going to be like that all the way now? Better buy some breast pads I guess...

Lucky you - I've been like this since about 20 weeks!!
I wash my bed sheet every two days now, cos there's always a wet patch/stain under me when I wake up. :)

And, um, at the start of breast feeding it'll only get worse (for a wee while). You ain't seen nothing yet...

Night bras and breast pads are fab - the pads soak up the moisture so you don't end up all crusty and ick.

Mine started leaking weeks ago (am now 34 weeks) but it's very on-and-off. Some days/nights I don't need pads at all.

Yup, I remember that first time around! Particularly embarrassing when it happens during the day and you don't notice, and have no breast pads in. Need I say more...

Japhrimel, I can't keep breast pads/breasts in place in a bra when I'm lying down! Any tips? My boobs just sort of fall out the middle if the bra, hence no protection from breast pads!

What kind of bra is it? I have sleep bras and then usually soft cups bras with lots of coverage during the day as I'm now FF cup! Sleep bras should have good coverage.

Also, most good pads have sticky bits on them which helps.

I've tried various bras, inc the soft ones that are like sports bras, but my boobs are clearly just too soft and squishy so if I'm lying on my left side, my right boob falls out of the middle :)
I think I will have to resort to sticking a breast pad onto me rather than onto the bra :)

you can use hollywood tape [double sided flesh tape] to stick the breast pads on. But most nights they don't stay where they are for long. I also have soft bra issues, the boobs and pads escape most nights. I've taken to spreading a towel under my chest section when I sleep, so as it soaks up the worst of it. DH won't go near them at the moment incase he gets leaked on. Mine also leak when I'm a little emotional or around rather attractive young men :) hormones eh?!

I'm 34 weeks and they've been leaking off and on since about 20 odd weeks.
