Hi
Wondering if anyone is experiencing similar pains to me? I'm 15 weeks for the last week geting a lot of stitch like and muscalar pain all over my abdomen///its not like period pain and i Hvae had no bleeding but its been quite regular for the last week and at times can be a sharp pain. Some people I have asked said they never had similar pain...others has siad sounds like the uterus expanding.
Im due to see the mid wife this week so will talk to her about it but in the meantime if anyone has similar sympomts would be great to hear.
I've had a missed miscarriage about 5 months ago so I think my paranoia is worse than usual!

Hello, that sounds very much like stretching pains - your ligaments are stretching around this time to lift your uterus out of your pelvis (or something very similar to that!). I found the pains really sharp and intense sometimes. Definitely still ask your midwife for reassurance, but I am sure that's what it is and I had really similar pain to what you're describing.

great thanks - i'm just concerned the pain is quite regular as opposed to the odd twinge!
do you know if they can check for a heart beat at the 16 weeks check? ie without a scan? sry first timer ;-)

They may check for a heartbeat, but some midwives won't do this before 18-20 weeks because if they can't find it it'd stress you out for no reason.

Sounds exactly like what I have. I'm 16 weeks on Thursday and this morning had a little bit of a bleed. Phoned the midwife and she got me an appointment at the hospital straight away.
Four hours later I'm now home. No more bleeding and I mentioned the pains. The Doctor said they were probably just ligaments stretching and weren't concerned.
Re the heartbeat - they did a check and it was fine. Very strong and fast. It did take a few minutes to find it but the midwife explained it's not unusual to have difficulty locating it at this stage.
I'm sure you'll be fine. I also had a mc recently and I am being very paranoid/ cautious about everything.
Good luck xx

Sounds exactly like what I've got too and I'm 15 weeks also! My pain is kind of all over my wee bump, particularly on the lower side, and is occasionally a sharp, stabbing pain. It is worse when I move quickly or do a lot of walking/ moving and is often worse on my lower right side. I have done a lot of googling today and am fairly confident it is round ligament pain (nothing like a bit of dodgy internet diagnosing to reassure or scare you!) I have no other more ominious symptoms like bleeding, a temperature, contraction like pain etc so I'm not rushing to the doctor/ hopsital. Instead, I plan on mentioning it to my midwife at my 16 week check next week and also booking in to see an osteopath.

I have the same and was diagnosed with round ligament pain, it started at around 16 weeks and i'm now 33 weeks and i still suffer several bouts daily and it's agonising. I can't really take it easy or avoid pushing things etc as my eldest daughter is disabled.
I'm just counting down the weeks and know it will be worth it once i have my baby.
Midwife did say i could be refered to a physio if i wanted but unfortunately i wouldn't have time to make the appointments etc but aparently they can help a bit and give you some support type thing to wear, so maybe worth mentioning when you see your midwife next.
