Hi I got a letter through this morning from the hospital saying they have changed my 20 week scan appt, originally it was for the 17th dec were I will be 19+6 but now it is for 4th jan and I will 22+3. The reason they have changed it is because scan would be to early.
I thought the scan was done between 18 weeks and 22 weeks. So i dont understand why they have changed it. Confused

I would phone up and say you want your original date, in fact the guidelines for the anomaly scan are being changed as of april 2011 when everyone should be offered the scan from 18 weeks to 20+6 weeks. This is to ensure that enough time Is given to make decisions further investigations if something is wrong with the baby. My scan isn't until 2 weeks I'll be 21+5 would prefer to have it earlier.

I would second phoning up - seems crazy of them to postpone it for nearly two weeks for the sake of a day! If they won't honour the original date, I'd at least ask if they can bring it forward a little, for your peace of mind.

me too - phone them and say you're going on holiday in Jan, if that makes it easier for you?
