Virak rash in toddler -risk to unborn?

Daughter has a viral rash - feels fine now, but has a rash and was feeling really ill yesterday and the day before.

Whatever she has, I think I have now, too. At least I feel really really crap today.

Is this something I need to worry about with regards to be 8 and a bit weeks pregnant? Am immune to rubella, had chicken pox and 5th disease as a child.

Googling does emphatically not help, but makes me scared.

Husband thinks everything's fine and I oughtn't worry, but that's easily said.

I am no expert but I shouldn't imagine it's a problem. Your midwife would advise I'm sure. DD used to get viral rashes with the common cold. Do you have a rash?

No, I don't. I just feel really really ill. But I seem to be catching simply everything that's about at the moment, I've been more ill in this 8 weeks pregnancy than in the whole 38 of the last one. :-(

I was like that in the first trimester. Your body's v busy with early pregnancy and caring for an existing child.

I'm sure it's nothing but a non-specific virus. But ask your midwife and in the meantime, have an early night and take it easy.

I won't tell you not to worry, because you will but I genuinely believe you don't need to.

Thank you. I think I'll wander back to bed now.
