Backache has been at its worst for the last few days, it lasts for anything up to 20minutes at a time and starts to ease when i take a warm bath or prop myself up against hot water bottle.
My MIL says i should be calling the doctor but all the books tell me that backache is a common ailment in pregnancy esp during last trimester.

Should backache be a concern or just one of those PG things? Is there anything else i could be doing to ease pain when i feel it?

Thanks. 30wks

to be honest I had it quite alot the last time and was told by my MW that it was normal. Maybe you can mention it to your midwife and see what se says.

Also - top tip from me is to buy those packs you get in boots that are self warming and you can stick to yourself when you have period pains (soothers or something). I find that stuck on my back they are great at relieving pain there too, and also mean i can get on with things instead of having to sit for ages.
