I am nearly 34 weeks. HAd midwife appt yesterday and baby was head down but not yet engaged. On train home I had a run of braxton hicks I think - the fist I have had. About 4 in row. The baby also moved loads for a couple of hours.

Now it feels heavy down there.

Was that the baby engaging do you think? Does it mean it will come early?

hi Yellowflowers.
I am also at 34 weeks and baby has been head down for a while...head not engaged though. I do feel rather heavy at times and sometimes I worry that the head is just about to pop out!!

But I think this is only normal as the baby is getting heavier so I wouldn't worry about early delivery yet.

good luck!

I've had this from 20 weeks. Now 25 and its really getting heavy! Not that comfortable and she keeps banging my cervix.

Probably just depends on the position of the baby. DS was up higher and never actually engagedm came 10 days early and was still only 3/5 engaged when I was more than half way through labour.

I'm 34+4 weeks and was told on monday that head is 3/5. My bump has definitely dropped lower over the last few days and I'm feeling far less spritely and more like a walrus. I,m sure I can feel its head burrowing further down every now and then. Still, my sister's first engaged at the same time and was a week late so not sure that it signifies anything in particular.
