Loud music...dangerous??!!

I am 22 weeks pregnant and i went to watch my DP in a singing contest. It was only in our local and the only place i could sit was right near from next to a speaker. The bass was really loud and i was there for 2 hours, i am so worried it was too loud for my little bubba??

Should i get checked out?

I'd have said if your hearing is ok then so will baby.

I went to a gig at about 25 weeks and baby loved it! Ds jumped about and wiggled the whole time. Same response at the cinema too - I think they can feel/ sense the bass more easily.

Have you had and kicks yet? If so keep an eye on whether its less than normal. If not fine, if less then call mw for some reassurance.

Try not to stress as that always made Ds sit still!

I went and saw Price at Wembley at about 25 weeks - very loud & I danced the night away. Baby moved alot - I think she enjoyed it!

Luckily she has been her wriggly self, so hopefully no damage done. Phew, i felt very guilty!!!

Don't feel guilty! Once your LO is born you won't be able to go out and watch concerts the same way you used to.

My DS is 8 months old, when I was pregnant I went to all sorts of rock and punk concerts at various stages of my pregnancy (up to about 30 weeks)

His hearing is fine :)

I was concerned about this at the weekend. I didnt listen to the first band as the baby's dancing involved continuous painful kicks to my cervix, but the second band were enjoyed by us both!

Friend works for RNID charity and she says its fine! (However babies do need ear protectors)
