Ladies

I really need your help! I am 6+1 and have been having major cramps after I orgasm since I got my bfp, they are so bad it feels like they wind me! I can't imagine not having any orgasms for the next 9 months, at the moment it is just too bad to ever want to do anything ever again. I had got used to the idea that sex would go out the window after the birth - but I am not ready for that quite yet! Dh is gutted.

Please tell me whether this is an early pregnancy thing or is this really it!

Thank you!

Everyone is different but not heard that one before! Grin

I had the opposite - the minute I was pregnant I totally lost interest in sex. So much so that with ds2 I knew I was pg before my period was due because try as dh might he caouldn't errrrr... get me interested.

Sorry - that's tmi too! Fortunately things returned to normal after the birth - I would've been chasing dh round the bedroom about 2 days after the births!

Yeah you are a weirdo. But don't worry, everyone is a little bit weird in pregnancy Wink

Seriously it's probably just the rise in hormones affecting you differently. It'll pass. Soon you'll just be a bulbous grumpy mare with piles and if that doesn't dampen your ardour somewhat, you are deffo a complete weirdo Grin

I don't get pain but my abdomen goes rock solid after.

moulesfrites · 28/10/2010 09:58

I had this from very early on - it was one of the first things I noticed when I got pg - I find now (27 weeks) that they aren't as crampy, but my bump goes absolutely rock hard after an orgasm. I read that it was good for the baby though - something to do with increased blood flow!

angels1 · 28/10/2010 10:02

no you're not a weirdo I had this too! Think it was crampy pain early on, but now (at 23 weeks) it's more discomfort than pain and my bump also goes rock hard afterwards. SHame though as I've lost all interest in that area since getting pg.

I had all that horrid cramping after my first orgasm after I conceived - probably around the 6 week mark too. It is totally normal (believe me, I checked...).

I would like to reassure you that it goes away - but to be completely honest I found it so unpleasant that I haven't allowed it to happen again! I really should get back on that horse... (so to speak)

TooImmature2BMum · 28/10/2010 12:26

I got that! It's gone away now, though. I'm 22 weeks now and haven't felt it for a long time - maybe about week 10? I used to get pain shooting through my tummy every time I sneezed, too, and that's also gone. Haven't noticed if my tummy gets hard or not - usually not paying a great deal of attention to that area just afterwards![hgrin]

LotteryWinnersOnAcid · 28/10/2010 12:31

I had that. It gets better but then you get the bump going really hard/dire need to pee/all kinds of other weirdness in the later stages.

SofaKitten · 28/10/2010 15:36

Yes I had that and have been too scared to repeat the process! Thought I was miscarrying the cramps were that strong.
