Is this normal..shouldnt I be getting signs of milk production by now? I am starting to worry they wont produce milk and I really want to breast feed.

Dc 1&2 I had nothing til they were born. Dc3, I had some by about 38 weeks.
This time (26weeks) I already have some.

Don't worry!

Really..did it just flow after delivery or did you have to wait a while? I was hoping to feed him as soon as he comes really.

I didn't leak at all before DD was born and very very rarely after, but I bf for 13 months. You might just be lucky- no need for breast pads and stained tops!

Oh and yes I fed DD very soon after she was born, the colostrum was there straight away, and the milk came in on about the 3rd day, so normal time.

DancingThroughLife · 27/10/2010 20:38

Me too, it happened when DD started feeding. My milk came in about 2 days after she was born.

Don't worry, it will come. A lot of the hormonal changes that stimulate the milk production are triggered by the baby physically feeding.

As faverghoulles said, don't worry! It's probably the only thing about having a baby that you can't prepare in advance Grin

Oh right so it could be there and its just not leaking out? That would be nice (there is me stocked up on breast pads as well).

Apparently, I forgot to say don't worry Blush Grin

I have never produced milk whilst pg. Always comes in about 3 days after the birth.

I have BF 3 DC

9 months
15 months
currently 17 months and still going strong

Thanks Ladies .. I was worried because I keep reading that it comes at 32 weeks and I am thinking there is no sign of anything for me yet. I would be gutted if my previously pert breasts have turned into huge veiny udders for nothing..haha.

Don't worry Smile 1st pregnancy I got it at 24 weeks, second not at all, 3rd 35 weeks. It is random and irrelevant. Mine all fed beyond 6 months.
