Screening test = scan?

When I had my dating scan I was only 10+4, at my booking in i said i didn't want the tests.

Am now feeling a bit concerned over things and was wondering if i called the midwives and said i wanted the tests would i be re-scanned?

i think at 10+4 it was too little to do the tests anyways?

or would i just be given the blood test?

have never had the tests before so a bit unsure about what they are but one is measuring something on a scan?

The nuchal fold measurement has to be done before 13 weeks to be of use, so you may already be too late. in which case it woudl bve blood tests and from there maybe cvs. They might rescan if you still seemed small for dates. If you're concerned is there an epu nearby you can call for advice?

It is fine to change your mind it is your right to have these tests, however if like LIZ says you are too late for the nuchal 9it can be done up to 13 weeks and 6 days) you can have blood tests though these are not as accurate but still perfectly acceptable. here is a link about screening for you
