Oh help.

I've been having pain, so I'm booked in for a scan tomorrow to check if the pregnancy's ectopic.
This morning I was giving DD breakfast and fainted. I was then sick, shaky and had a cold sweat. DH is on his way home. Should I go to the hospital or wait for tomorrow's scan? I feel much better now, still shaky but more with anxiety I think.
:(

I have no experience of this but would probably get an emergency appointment with GP. Phone them up and explain what has happened. Or phone EPU if you are registered with them.

Good luck and lots of hugs.

Call someone this morning and I'd say you need to see someone today. Does your hospital have an EPAU?

Violet5 · 27/10/2010 10:16

I would go straight to hospital when your DH gets home, i really don't think you should wait until tomorrow. I hope you'll be ok, and really hope things will be alright.
Take care of yourself (and definately don't wait) x

EPU said to go to A&E if I don't feel better... hence the confusion. Confused

Go to A&E as soon as your DH gets home- I hope you're ok x

Violet5 · 27/10/2010 10:27

In that case i would be tempted to go to A&E then (and tell them you'd spoke to EPU and they directed you to them). If (and i really hope it isn't) but if it turned out to be an ectopic they can be really nasty and a real hazard to your health (my friend had one). I wouldn't take a chance with your health and i'd go and get checked out. Thats what i'd do anyway.

Loujalou · 27/10/2010 10:27

I would probably just go to A&E when your husband gets home. If you have a suspected ectopic they should be taking care of you - which I suspect they are but it would put your mind at rest.

I'm going to the GP, if they say hospital I'll go.

Many thanks for your help. :)

let us know how u get on

LoopyLoupGarou · 27/10/2010 20:17

Just got back from the hospital - the GP did send me.

Waited over 2 1/2 hours to be examined. They wanted me to stay in overnight but didn't insist, so I'm still waiting for the scan tomorrow to see if everything's OK.

Thanks all for your concern. :)

Just to let you all know I went for the scan this morning, it's not ectopic :) , but too small to see a pole so going for another in a couple of weeks.

Thanks for thinking of me. :)

A friend of mine was like this in very early pregnancy (about 5-6 weeks) she collapsed in the toilets at work sweating and shaking and had stomach pains. Turned out nothing wrong and she's a happy 21 weeks pregnant. Good luck OP hope it all works out for you :)
