36 weeks - extremely light-headed

Since yesterday I have felt so ridiculously light-headed, and a bit nauseous. I've tried having a short lie-down, but as I'm working it's not easy. I also have very painful ribs (in my back).
Any suggestions or tips? I'm not hungry, but I will try to eat something in 10 mins or so, in case it's a blood sugar thing.
At my antenatal appt last week, my bloods showed haemoglobin of 11, which she said was normal, so I dont appear to be anaemic.

I think you should go in to be checked - just had the same thing myself and they ended up checking my blood pressure and doing a quick ecg to check my heart etc.

I think pre-eclampsyia needs to be ruled out.

Have your fingers / feet / ankles swollen up at all?

vmcd28 · 26/10/2010 13:49

my ankles and feet are puffy, but hands and face are fine

Thanks for your replies. After the room spinning before I'd even got out my bed, I decided enough was enough. Everything checked out ok, but my iron has decreased each time I've had blood taken. It's currently at 11.4 which is the low end of normal, but she said maybe my body is sensitive to fluctuations. I've to take Spatone 3 times a day.
