Anyone else got a beard?!?!?!?!????

Rather embarrasingly, I have a beard. It is fluffy white hair, but when I put make-up on I have to be very careful to rub it in well so as not to highlight my beard.

I had this last time I was pg too, but was convinced it was because I was having a boy and had boy hormones in my body. I'm having a girl this time.

I have just noticed the beard now at 20 weeks. Blush Blush Blush

Just had a look and feel - no beard here. Oh - but my tache is a little more fullsome.

DuelingFanjo · 26/10/2010 11:11

No beard here but I do have a hairy belly!

angels1 · 26/10/2010 11:57

I have a hairy belly and neck (?!) and big rougue hairs all over my body, but, oddly enough, my leg and underarm hairs have slowed right down - I only need to shave once or twice a week now. I just assumed it was an odd pregnancy thing.

No beard but HUGE eyebrows, never plucked before will have to learn. [hblush]

oh noooooo sarah poor you! i did think i noticed a few very light hairs around the corner of my mouth. i actually plucked one out which felt a bit risky (what if it grows back thicker?!) but not seen any more. i also have a hairy belly - again the hairs are very fair and downy. guess this is normal and just another of those "lovely" pregnancy side effects....

debka · 26/10/2010 13:43

It's not just me then! Have horrid BRISTLY beard. Can be a bit hairy (yuk) due to PCOS but it all goes crazy in pg. V embarrassing.

ellesbelles79 · 26/10/2010 13:52

yes me too & it doesnt actually make any diff if you are having a boy or a girl. When you are pregnant it just plays havoc with your hormones & so you do get hairer...and not just on your scalp unfortunately!

Im quite pleased about having nice thick locks but Im having to shave my belly on a daily basis! I shave in the morning & by evening I have stubble... Shock

lostinwails · 26/10/2010 13:55

No beard here but my eyebrows carried on up to my hairline!

PaigeTurner · 26/10/2010 14:47

Pre-pg I had to thread/wax my tache and beard (lovely) every few weeks - since I've been pg I've done it maybe once or twice in total. Making me think something wasn't right with the old hormones beforehand...

I thought boys made you more hairy too?!

lennon80 · 26/10/2010 16:15

I have noticed the down on my face is thicker and that my belly is 'fluffy' now too! I bloody hope that goes as soon as my little fella is born!

StrangewaysHereICome · 26/10/2010 17:50

Oh I am growing a fluffy white beard too - I just couldn't admit it til I read this [hblush]!!

I'll be looking like Santa in time for Christmas [hshock]!!

Yellowflowers · 26/10/2010 18:04

yes - except mine dark brown not white. It's not fair - waaaaaillll!

BeetleBaby · 26/10/2010 18:22

No beard here (as yet) but I'm developing quite a 'tach...thinking of going for the full handle bar look if it carries on. As for my tummy I'm rivaling an Old English Sheep Dog! I haven't succumbed to shaving it though, mostly because I can't be bothered, but also because my hair is so dark and skin so sickly pale looking I think the stubble would be worse! At least it's nice at soft for now [hgrin]

Want2bSupermum · 26/10/2010 18:38

I am 4wks+3 and I have a 'tash growing. It has been the only thing I have noticed. Luckily DH has been away on business and I had it waxed during lunchtime. I have 1/4 Greek and I am worried I will be a gorilla by the end of this.

slimyak · 27/10/2010 13:42

I too am developing a fluffy face and belly. I do have dark hair but thankfully it's coming though fair. My eyebrow's on the other hand - bit Dennis Heeley!

This happened last time too, so I can give the reassurance to those experiencing this for the first time, that it will be gone by the time you surface from the post birth new baby fug.

Yellowflowers · 27/10/2010 13:54

My pubes come to my knees almost!

Diamondback · 27/10/2010 16:40

Hairy, fluffy face and belly! My DH keeps stroking the face fuzz and cooing 'look at your beard!'

Hair on head is growing like mental too - i had it cut two weeks ago and it needs doing again - I look like the Dulux dog!
