Complicated but can anyone help me work out if dd was early or late, and by how much.

I am 39 wks with dc2 and trying to convince myself this baby will be here any minute.

dd was born a day before my due date but everyone worked my due date out on a 28 day cycle when I now know my cycle is 30 days.

So with this pregnancy I'm actually due 2 days later than the midwives and consultant tells me I am. They say I'm due on 1st Nov. but I know my LMP and have worked it out to be 3rd Nov.

I know the due date is a vague date that doesn't mean a great deal in the scheme of things - but please amuse me as I'm very pregnant and fed up!

So was I actually three days early with dd? I don't know the date of my LMP, but I do know she was probably conceived on the 13th Feb. 2007 if that helps

Normally they go by the dating scan not the LMP, so the length of your cycle wouldn't really factor into it, it would just be taken from the size of the baby when they measured it at the twelve week dating scan.

But as a heavily pregnant woman you are always right so I reckon DC2 will be making an appearance in exactly four days

I used to lie about my LMP, because my cycle is 24/5/6 days and they always worked it out on a 30 day chart.

I tried telling them I knew when I conceived but they thought I was a nob and gave me the 'look'
and from then on I got short shrift!

She insisted on using her stupid chart all the time as well. I was getting ideas above my station obv.

You are 39 weeks pregnant. I wouldn't dare tell you anything you don't want to hear, so yes you are right and they are all wrong. [hgrin]

However, we all know the due date means feck all so I vote for 5th November at 8.40pm. [hwink]

I am due 1st of Nov too but my dates tell me I am due today and the baby was measuring 95th centile before the head engaged. DS was 2 days early and my baby will come today or I will be highly pissed off! Since yesterday I have been extremely emotional (both positively and negatively) and my chin has broken out in big spots. Are these signs? are they? huh? huh? Good luck Bythemoonlight!
