I had a tour last time and will again this time as things have changed in the 5yrs between pg. Make sure you know about visiting times, how to get in out of normal hours, if visitors can bring in flowers etc - have heard they can't now in our local hospital but could when dd was born. We don't have a birthing pool and didn't see a newborn but got a good tour of labour room and facilities available, postnatal ward, lunch room etc. Useful to know where dads/birthing partners can go for refreshments or a break and also if you can use your mobile in the hospital.

I think they stopped the flowers,as they dont have time to change the water in vases etc,my niece had flowers in a bag of water and was allowed them.
