Went to see the doctor today after getting a positive test on Tuesday. Basically I rang the surgery to ask what to do (midwife/ doctor/ whatever)and the receptionist made me a doctors appointment...
Anyway, I attended my appointment today and was told by the doctor that I didn't need to see him at all. Just to book in with the midwife at 10 weeks. Am fairly annoyed by this, especially as I pushed 2yo DD in her buggy a mile to the surgery, entertained her fairly hysterically while they ran late and then had to trek back home again! Felt a bit silly too
Also, I have no idea when I am 10 weeks! I came off the pill in August and had not had a proper cycle yet so have no idea as to dates. So can't even book the damned appointment with the midwife. Grrrg.
Sorry, hormonal rant over. What is the best thing to do? I was thinking of going to see the midwife, early or not, and ask her to figure out my dates! Is this a good idea or is she likely to be cross with me for wasting her time? And is two weeks long enough to fit me in for a dating scan? Do they still do these at 12 weeks?
Questions questions questions - which perhaps I should have asked the doctor, but was a bit busy feeling like a numpty.
