I am only 25 wks but it is my 5th baby and i am 43. Good pg so far but have spd as did with lst one.Working part time and running around in eveings with ballet etc.
Last couple of days am absolutley exhausted and very breathless even when i sit down. Get some relief from sitting with legs open and let bump fall a bit between my legs. I have put about a stone and a half so far which i know is too much, btu the breathlessness is worrying me now and its making me feel light headed. Its not all the time, more when i am tired. Any gems or pearls of wisdom ladies.

I had two patches of breathlessness and chest pain with DS2 at about 18-22ish weeks. I was a bit alarmed! GP and midwife found nothing wrong. Second time coincided with scan and realised baby was breech and kind of 'sat up' inside me - am pretty sure the symptoms were caused by his position and his head sticking in to my chest/lungs/ribs somehow. 2 days after scan he gave such a massive wriggle that I nearly threw up, but following that discomfort disappeared (until late pregnancy when I had more normal-seeming breathlessness etc).

Could be a possibility? Try to give baby a jiggle about and see if helps at all?

(disclaimer - am not an expert in any way)

By 'patches' I mean several days of symptoms each time

well at 24 weeks i measured 27 but not sure if there is any significance to that.My kicks are very high up too.I do think its the baby or my womb pushing up on my diaphram
i had this with my ds now 24 and he was born at 28 weeks weighing a massive 5lb1oz so maybe this one is just big???

Exhaustion and breathlessness are both symptons of an iron deficiency. Speak to your midwife and ask for a blood test. If confirmed, iron tablets will do the trick.

Good luck

hope things improve. I was told its often diaphram being squashed, though can be aneamia etc. Always good to check out just in case, though your instinct is prob most accurate?!

Hope it improves! Give the iron tablets a go, as they won't do any harm if it's not anaemia. Take it easy at baby show, but maybe walking around will help shift baby to a better position too (thinking positively)
