Pressure in Ears

I am 5 weeks pregnant, and starting from the week before my period was due, I've had a lot of pressure in my head / ears. Kinda like a head cold, but without the other symptoms.
I also have some swooshing in my right ear, like the air moving around. Really annoying! I'm having to constantly try to unblock the pressure as you do when flying..
It's been going on for a few weeks now, and I wonder if it has anything to do with the pregnancy?
Usually when I get a massage, my ears feel a bit blocked for a few hours, and the therapist tells me that's normal because of increased blood flow and circulation due to the massage. But other than that, I've never ever experienced this.
So I was wondering if the changes due to pregancy (maybe changes in blood flow etc) are having a similar effect?
anyone else experience this?

yep, from about 6 weeks and still have it now 20+4 sorry Grin it is to do with hormones and all the extra blood pumping round, its very annoying!! Luckily its not as bad as it was but i still get it at least once a day for a while.

thanks sam26oscar, i guess i need to brace myself for this lasting a long time. have you flown during your pregnancy by chance? i'm due to fly in December and worried the increased pressure will hurt or even damage my ears (I once flew with a head cold and burst a blood vessel!)
