Has anyone else had implantation bleeding for a long time?

My friend's who is 11 weeks pregnant now, has finally just stopped after 7 weeks!! Apparently it is quite common, but I've never heard of it before.

Sorry, meant to say apparently it is common for implantation bleeding to go on until 16 weeks.

It's not uncommon to have a little bleeding in the 1st trimester, but whether it can still be called implantation bleeding is another thing - I'd say not.

I had a heavy implantation bleed for 5 days. Thought it was a period but turned out I was preg. Consultant said its not uncommon.

I had bleeding for five weeks in the first trimester, with the second pregnancy, and for about two weeks iwth the first. Before those, I had a miscarriage, so the bleeding in the subsequent pregnancies was terrifying , but they turned out to be fine in the end!
