I am 7 weeks pregnant with number 2. I had very little sickness/symptoms with dd and had textbook pregnancy/labour (apart from couldnt deliver placenta but never mind!)

Basically, i am now worried that because i'm not really having any major symptoms that there is something terribly wrong and that all is not well. I could sleep for england and am very tired and am having bouts of nausea. But after reading a few things (which i just know i shouldnt) i am now concerned because i'm now throwing up constantly and not feeling like s**t.

Can someone please reassure me that you can still have a healthy pregnancy/labour/birth without having the nasty symptoms at the beginning?

Thanks for bearing with me!! X

I did not throw up once with either of my two. Could also have slept for England.

Whizzz · 12/09/2005 20:36

Yup - I had few symptoms when preg with DS.
No sickness or cravings - just tired at the start. Everything was fine

SleepySuzy · 12/09/2005 20:37

Ditto. (but I've only had one). Had terrible indigestion, though.

bonkerz · 12/09/2005 20:37

I didnt start feeling sick till about 9/10 weeks this time and it lasted till 16 weeks.

Katemum · 12/09/2005 20:37

Sorry just read your message again and am tired and have confused myself (not difficult). You say now throwing up?

Mandymoo · 12/09/2005 20:41

no Katemum - havent been sick, just having bouts of nausea. Infact i feel almost exactly the same as i did with dd but for some reason every little thing is making me anxious this time around whereas with my first pregnancy i kind of took it in my stride! Also forgot to mention the sore boobs and the fact that i actually have boobs!!

Have to say, you are only 7 weeks, that morning sickness could be just there waiting for you. Then again you could just have a wonderful easy pregnancy, stop fretting and enjoy it.

Mandymoo · 12/09/2005 20:51

Katemum - i know you're right, i'm just fretting over every little thing atm!! Thanks for all your replies XX

Congratulations Mandymoo, I slept for 23 out 24 hrs but no other symptoms at all and he is now a healthy 5 month old. I had no problems.

I would enjoy the sleep while you still can.

Miaou · 12/09/2005 21:01

Mandymoo, I believe that overanxiousness is also a symptom of pregnancy - I've just have my third and I was far more worried about every little thing than I was with my previous two (blissful ignorance!). I'm usually a laid back person and I found it quite disconcerting.

Just bear that in mind next time you feel worried .

aloha · 12/09/2005 21:11

Never felt sick. It's not compulsory! Also never felt ill or bad.

aloha · 12/09/2005 21:12

Oh, and both my children have three heads and glow in the dark.
(some of this is made up btw)

Angeliz · 12/09/2005 21:13

No i had no sickness or big symptoms with either very early on and 2 healthy pregnancys and labours.
Chill out and get some sleep+

Mirage · 12/09/2005 21:41

I have never been sick with any of my pregnancies & didn't even feel queasy with DD1.With dd2 I was so symptomless at 7wks that the midwife asked me if I'd actually done a pregnancy test.

Congratulations

Mandymoo · 12/09/2005 21:48

Aloah - pmsl!!

Miaou - your message really helped - i usually dont worry about every little thing so i will try to see it as a pregnancy symptom rather than me going completely mad!

Thanks for all your replies - i am now dutifully reassured!!!
