Aching Bump when sleeping

I'm only 18 weeks but I have quite a large (and growing) fibroid too (so I'm guessing there's extra weight in there). I'm finding at the moment I'm waking up in the night with a very achey bump.

It happens if I lie on my left side or the right - I'm comfiest on my back (although I know you're not meant to lie on your back!).

I do sleep with cushions propping up the bump and between my legs and when I turn on to my back from being on my side, my whole stomach feels very hard and rigid.

Anyone else get the same? Anyone know why my stomach goes so hard? Hmm

Mine's the same. I'm 26 weeks and find myself waking up on my back several times a night and my stomach tends to feel quite stretched and hard and I can feel what I presume is baby's head poking out. I'm guessing it is because everything sort of flops down with gravity on my back so there's less room for the baby? I've got fibroids too but don't know if that makes any difference.

I know it's not logical but I do worry that the baby gets squashed by the fibroid. It was 14cms round at 3 months so can only guess how big it is now.
