Growth question

I'm 32 weeks and at the midwife today she measured me at 30 weeks. She also said I had amazing stomach muscles, and the student midwife had a problem measuring the baby at all.

I know they allow 2 week slack either side of the measurements, and I was bang on 28 weeks last measurement - but should I be worried. Everything else was perfect so I left feeling fine but a few hours later I am starting to worry - and thinking about things like IUGR. Am I being nuts?

You aren't being nuts, it's normal to worry... I would ring your midwife/make another appointment to discuss it with her if you are concerned... it's just not worth worrying about.

IME fundal height measurements are incredibally inaccurate and can be effected by all sorts of factors - including your strong stomach muscles Envy, likewise they were by my excess pie-eating flab muscles Blush If the mw was worried she may have sent you for a growth scan so she likely thinks it is just the way you are carrying your LO.

Like I said, if you are worried then speak to your mw, chances are things are fine and googling IUGR will terrify you!

Good luck with the rest of you pregnancy.
