I had 12 week scan/nuchal scan this morning. After MC at 9 weeks last year & feeling very sick & tired since falling PG this time, I've been very low key about this pregnancy - kept it to ourselves pretty much, and not getting too excited etc.

But there they were this morning wriggling around and waving - so lovely. And I'm starting to feel a little better now too - it's nice to be smiling & feeling excited - I'M GOING TO HAVE A BABY HOORAY!!!! Grin

Congratulations, you! :)

I'm just back from my 12 week scan as well (after 2 mcs) It was brilliant to see the baby furiously pedaling away and waving :) :)
Just didn't want the scan to end. Would've gladly looked at the baby moving about all day long. I've not been able to stop smiling in the last hour. I'll bet my bottom penny that you haven't stopped smiling either!

Enjoy your pregnancy, dear.

Yippeee I have just had my 12 week scan too and was so relieved (I recently had a stillborn baby) and was so happy to see the flappy arms and legs! Good luck to you all x

thanks everyone and good luck to us all!!!

I was somehow unprepared for just what a great leap forward seeing the baby would be emotionally & mentally. And yes I have been smiling silly all day Smile

Congratulations, and thanks for posting. I have had 2 mc over past couple of years so also keeping things low key this time round. Have my 12 week scan next week, can't wait. Had an early scan at 8 weeks and all was well so fingers crossed.

I love posts like this!! :)

Congratulations! Had my 19 wk scan today and it really is an amazing sight isn't it?

LittleMilla · 18/10/2010 19:59

hi all,

Can I join, I had mine this afternoon too. After getting so worked up (I was convinced that i'd have a MMC) that we both came home and went to sleep. HA!

Just insane though - just wriggling around and looking so babylike. Just expected a blob - but could see arms, legs and a fluttering little heart.

Had my date predicted for 25th April - week earlier than I thought. So I am 13 weeks, not 12 as I thought I was.

Congrats all - hope we all have happy and stress free pregnancies. Grin

xx

FindingMyMojo · 19/10/2010 10:39

Yay - oh I'm welling up reading this thread again this morning!!

Yes it was a surprise to see a real little person there (though it's my 2nd so it shouldn't be really) not a plum sized blob.

And it's sooo soooo lovely to finally feel happy & joyous about being pregnant & what the next year holds.

Good luck everyone - as my sister says, you just gotta relax & be cool!

Congrats and good luck to everyone on this thread, I had a mc in december 09 and it was awful, but i now have a 3 week old baby and she is perfect. Hope that all of you have good pregnancys and feel well throughout :)

I had been TTC for a long time and at the 12 week scan I was totally overwhelmed..I had almost half expected her to tell me there was no baby there and I was imagining it all. My sickenss was horrific until week 17 but on the up side it is a sign of a sticky baby and that everything is working as it should do. Congrats!
