Nearly 5 weeks and slight spotting

Hi if all goes to plan this will be DC2. I remember some spotting last time I was pregnant but not this early. Am shitting myself and not sure how I can stay positive...

I had slight pink spotting at 5 weeks - went to epu and they scanned and found heartbeat. Had heavier red spotting with clots at 7 weeks - scan showed consistent growth and am now 32 weeks...

Obviously sometimes it can be bad news but it isn't always so good luck and thinking of you. xx

Did have mild spotting last pregnancy just think it was a bit later on. TMI Alert - It seems to happen mainly when I do a no 2.

Definitely vaginal bleeding mainly cm with a bit of blood.

Are you in London - I found uch early pregnancy unit very nice and you can turn up and get scan.

Doctor says its not normal but common and I probably won't get a scan for a week. Need to keep calm but not doing a good job on that.

Yellow I had a scan today and needed one of those internal cameras but baby was found with a heartbeat. A bit smaller than she was expecting but am concentrating on heartbeat.

Need to go back in 3 weeks to see what is happening.

PS Spotting seemed to stop last Thursday it was really faint and now has gone!

That is great, esp since HB was seen so early! It was probably blood from implantation. I had this about a week after finding out I was preg and all was fine.

Hi, i am in a similar situation, bleeding after going for a number 2 (sorry) at 5 weeks - only started today and im so scared.
Did you ask for a scan or did the doctor offer you one? Ive got the doctors today at 4.45, i just checked and i thought the bleeding had stopped but in fact its getting heavier :(

I had a bit of spotting last week and in a fit of panic called the out of hours GP (was late night). They were really sympathetic and booked me in for a scan at the earliest opportunity, which was 2 days later. Thankfully everything was ok, heartbeat seen, but no cause for bleeding.

Some EPUs are self-referral, others want referral from GP. Just give your GP a ring or ring the hospital and ask.
