i have a friend who is 4 weeks pregnant and over the weekend she experienced some spotting, no cramping though and my memory is mostly toast from having a toddler ;) could this be implantation bleeding? i also spotted around 3 - 4 weeks along.. i cant remember what this could be, other than the one thing we dont want to think about

any ideas/etc/etc is appreciated!!

thanks!¬

I think implantation bleeding is supposed to at about 10 Days post ovulation. SO I would think if she is four weeks pregnant that she would be too far a long to have that. However, I have heard of people spotting about the time they would normally have had there period. Dont know why this is though.

if spotting at 4 weeks (gawd that's early) it is most probably implantation .. if brown its old blood .. if light I wouldn't worry about it

10 Days post ovulation could be 4 weeks pregnant though .. you count from first day of last period

I spotted a 7 weeks and 10 weeks so it could well be implantation bleeding.

If it persists I suggest getting it checked out though.

Definitely, i had to have scans for both incidents just to ensure everything was ok. I feared the worst but it was fine. HTH XX

Twiglett · 12/09/2005 20:29

you can't have a scan until 6 weeks and then its an internal scan btw

Mandymoo · 12/09/2005 20:30

Yeah, i had an internal scan at 7 weeks. Sorry, forgot to mention that bit!
