brilliant news, sloathy
just got a letter today confirming that my scan is on monday (not much notice!)
will only be 11 weeks by then, so probably less to see then you, but looking forward to seeing something at last! am excited now thanks to your post! am sure things will get a bit easier for you from now on too x

sloathy · 14/10/2010 18:41

Thanks for the replies. I am very excited and feel like a proper evening meal for the first time in ages.

The only thing I would say suedehead is to be careful how full your bladder is! Mine was VERY full and getting painful by the time they did the scan nearly an hour later than my appointment time. Then the sonographer said is was too full and I had to go to the loo twice to try and reduce the volume without letting it all go. Bit of a challenge for the old pelvic floor that!

oh dear! good tip - thank you.
might do a bit of last minute work on the old pelvic floor this evening just in case...!

enjoy your evening - sounds like today was a weight off your mind.

Aw that's lovely to hear. At the moment 12 weeks seems such a long time in the future for me that I just can't begin to imagine how it must feel. Really pleased for you. x

HighlandlassinLondonshire · 14/10/2010 20:05

Awwww the first scan is amazing, I had my 20 weeks scan earlier this week and I'm still amazed by it all.

They can push quite hard, so yes don't full your bladder to much.

Also wear white or little color knickers and or top! The gel they on the scan marks your clothes, so if your going back to the office, might be best not to wear black just in case you get a transfer...! But it washers off x

Aghhh it's all so exciting. Grin

I had my 12 week scan monday! Is it just me who cannot actually believe what's inside me!? I just can't get my head around it at all - especially now that I feel so much better and full of energy. When are you due Sloathy?

LittleMilla · 14/10/2010 21:43

Sloathy - I think we're both due on 1st May. I have got my scan on Monday and am so MEGA excited!

Yeay, so excited for you! I am starting to believe that this is all real...but just trying to hold in my excitement until that scan.

HUGE congrats, really happy for you

I forgot the full bladder but it was still ok

lucielooo · 15/10/2010 14:14

Hi ladies

Really nice to have such kind and positive responses. I am due on 27 April. Was 12 weeks and 1 day at my scan ( I thought I was 12 weeks and 2 days - so not far out!)

Paid for the pent up anxiety/excitement today but having one of my worst morning sickness day ever. But I am still smiling!
