hello ledies,

just a quick question: last night I was trying to put my trousers on and being a great big elephant at 37 weeks my leg got cought in in one of the trouser legs and i lost balance and fell on the floor. I was close to the ground to start off with and my left hand took most of the shock but I guess it's reasanoble to worry. The baby moved afterwards and kicked plenty later on in the night. but at that stage they are not that well padded.

Has anybody fallen before? should i do anything about it?

thanks in advance for all your advice

I fell twice in my second pregnancy - once from a chair I was standing on to get something from the top of a cupboard. The second time I fell down the stairs - about 6 of them carrying my 13kg 2yo on my way to an antenatal appt. Landed on my butt the second time and my side the first time. With my side fall my shoulder took most of the shock.

Both times the babe moved and kicked etc afterwards.

The second time the GP checked me out and listened for a heartbeat and the baby was doing her usual kicking to get the doc to stop feeling my belly and leave babe alone. I think the second time I would have been about as pregnant as you are now.

If you are worried - call your midwife and explain what happened.
