really itchy scalp

For the last couple of weeks I have had a really itchy scalp! I am 31 weeks pregnant and not itching anywhere else. Is this just a nasty side-effect of being pregnant or something I should ask the midwife about?

Do you have other dcs? Might it be nits?

Sorry - don't mean to offend but it's a possibility if you have dcs or are around children a lot.

I've never had them but my friend had them last week!

no other children at all. It seems to be concentrated just at the very front of my head. Not really around other children at all.

OK, good. I'd say that fairly categorically rules that out then!

Have you changed your shampoo?

Do you suffer from eczema?

Is it flaky or red?

dueling - I am 32 wks and I have exactly the same thing with the exception that mine is on the very top of my head.

No nits here either .

I have no explanation and my midwife was none the wiser. We have so many hormones flying around our bodies, I blame pregnancy for everything.
