A bit of my tooth broke off this morning, luckily I already have a check-up booked for tonight, but I am freaking out!!!!

I am a dental phobe and being pregnant is sending my panic into the stratosphere. Not sure how I'm going to cope all day with this hanging over me, I am anxious person at the best of times. I feel sick and panicky, all this adrenalin can't be good for the baby. Why the hell am I such a bloody wuss???

Sorry to bump, but having humungous panic attack, feeling very sick and shaky. I am not even usually that scared of the dentist, what the hell? Does pregnancy make it harder to cope with lifes's little crises?

oh sorry no one answered your post. You must have been by now - i hope it all went ok. I know how you feel as I am the same with the dentist - it makes me feel really sick and panicky and being pregnant does make it worse, i havent been able to have any work done as i cant get the impression tray in my mouth esp while pregnant. Hope you feel better now.

I went for the checkup and the dentist decided to surprise me by saying she'd replace my filling there and then. She was very lovely and gentle, but I felt vile afterwards, very sick and shaky.

I felt really ill all day before hand too from my constant panicking, but at least I had it done. Frustrating thing is I still feel horrid today, mixture of my ongoing pregnancy nausea and a hangover from yesterday's anxiety.

Wish I could just feel well for once.

Aw poor you Rocklover - hope you're feeling a bit better now. A bit late to reply but I was going to say that it happened to me last year, and they hopefully will just be able to fill it in. I hate dentists too though :(

Take a bath, hot choccy and a good mag/ book. It always works ;) x

I can't quite relax yet today, got to take my dd to her swimming class after school. Bit of a drive as it's in the next town along from where I live.

I don't feel like going to be honest, but I can't let my dd down. I'd rather go back to bed the way I feel right now.
