on the scan and they told you it was a girl (then said 85% because they have to say that), was it correct?

It was but I also had a nucal fold scan (as didn't want amniocentesis) and asked then plus 3D scans to confirm. I don't like surprises Blush

If I could afford it I would have an extra scan, to be sure. I like to know in advance so I can prepare. I have started buying girls clothes but I am very aware that there is this 15% chance they are wrong.

I'm going by the fact that I was sure it was going to be a girl anyway (I knew I was going to get pregnant before I did, I knew I was instantly, and I was positive it was a girl, my feelings don't tend to be wrong, even DH agrees). She was in a very awkward position, I didn't think he was going to be able to tell me so I think that fact that he did means he got a good look. Plus he has put female on the scan notes. I don't think he would have put it if he wasn't sure. He did also say "we have to tell you 85%, just in case as its harder to tell with girls."

I have now had 3 scans including one 4d - each time they said 'I think it's a girl, can't see anything to suggest otherwise but can't be sure'...I'm going down the female route at the moment and hope something would have shown if it was a boy.

NHS scan at 20 weeks, said it was a girl (but couldn't guarantee it, although sonographer obviously was sure). And she was/is a girl!
