I work on my feet all day and am finding it increasingly difficult as my bump seems to get heavier throughout the day! Can anyone recommend a good bump support belt/band that doesn't feel like its cutting you in half; as the last one I tried on was fine when standing but I couldnt sit down whilst wearing it!!! And yes I had bought the correct size Wink! Not sure if it makes a difference but I had a c-section with my dd 5 years ago.

I've just got one of these. It's nice and comfy.

i have been to physio today for my spd and she gave me some tubi grip and i have worn it all day. Very comfy and free.

I bought one of the ones Marrow linked to but found it kept rolling up and digging in (correct size as far as I know as I think a bigger one would be too big and offer no support). Wearing it over my clothes helped a bit but I don't think it gave me much support. I've ordered one of these to see if it'll be an improvement.

Thanks all, it was the carriwell one that nearly cut me in half or maybe I just need to try buying a size bigger than it says on the tin? Liking the idea of free tubi grip..didnt realise you could get it big enough to fit around tummy!! Will ask midwife when I go next week. Mejon hope you get on better with new belt...if you remember keep me posted on how it feels and if it works!

Glad (well not glad, but you know what I mean) that it's not just me that had a problem with the Carriwell one. Waiting for the other one to be delivered. I'll keep you posted on how I get on!

Marrow · 09/10/2010 12:34

I must just have an odd shaped bump as the Carriwell one is really comfortable and supportive on me Blush

Clairef29 · 09/10/2010 20:59

Ah Marrow I'm sure you've not got an odd shaped bump Smile! It actually felt ok on my bump, it was around my hips it cut right in when I sat down Sad. So my search is still on....I'll wait to hear from you Mejon!

Bumping for Clairef29

The Emma Jane support belt arrived today and I'm not convinced it is going to work for me. I was overweight before becoming pg (and clearly still am!) and had a very attractive overhang so I think that is my problem. If I position the belt under it it gives me a really nice 'muffin top' type roll and if I place it higher up I'm worried that I may be squashing the baby. Sitting down not very comfy either. I'll give it a try when I need to go out and about as that's when I usually get most pain and maybe see how it fits when my bump is more bump-like. I would imagine if your bump is 'normal' and you don't have an overhang like mine it would be a good option as it is fairly rigid and supportive.

Thanks for info mejon, think I may have same prob then as I too have overhang from last c-section and too many cakes!Wink Guess my hunt is still on then...am seeing midwife tomorrow so will ask if she has any suggestions...not that shes overly helpful to be honestHmm
