Normal after a stretch and sweep?

I assume this is normal.... (excuse TMI here...)

After doing my stretch and sweep this, my MW said "oh, some blood [on her fingers], that's a good sign".

Been wearing a pad today and had what I can only assume is a bloody show... a sort of dark brown smudge/discharge... a bit like the last day of a period. I think this is totally fine - thought I should ask heree before phoning the labour ward in a panic!

Baby still wriggling away etc etc..!

If the blood is mucousy, then it is a show, do not panic. If it is more than a table spoon full and fresh red blood, the contact labour ward.

No - no fresh red blood. Old, brown coloured and only a small smudge really. And its not exactly mucously, just looks like it is mixed with normal discharge (unbelievable what we share on here sometimes...!)

Completely normal IME. Don't be surprised if you start getting some completely clear mucous soon - thats what happened after my sweep.xxx

Lucky you! I had 2 sweeps and nothing at all.
