Had scan and should measure 5wk4,it measured at 4w5,is that trouble?

I'm a bit scared.Had early scan due to previous ectopic,scan tech was a bit abrupt.She said i can see a sac but its empty, oh and i cant find your left ovary,have you had it removed?
I do have both tubes and told her so,also told her that the internal scan was bloody painful.She wrote could be too early to show anything on my form,check bloods and sent me away.
My bloods were done and were 3,547 (hcg).I have to be scanned in a week.I'm so stressed about waiting a whole week.I thought they would do my bloods again on Monday but they say no need.
Anyone measured a week behind and caught up? Should i prepare for bad news? I keep bursting into tears.
Last week i did a Clearblue digital and it said 2-3, on Tues i did another and it said 3plus.Im so worried.

I am sorry I dont know the answer.. but at 8 weeks they told me ds was closer to 6 weeks and at 12.5 weeks they told me i was wrong and he was only 11 weeks.

its very early to tell at this stage. I had a scan and they said I was 4 weeks odd and to come back as they could not see anything in the sac, and when I went back there was not just a baby in a sac there were two. It really is tiny tiny tiny things they are looking at, try not to worry.

I had a scan at 8+2 weeks and they dated me at 7+3, which was within my dates but at my 12 week scan my EDD got adjusted back to the original.

They don't do dating scans before 10 weeks because its less accurate.

Try not to worry. You could ask your doctor to get your hcg levels done again if you're really stressed.

I had a scna at 6 w+ and they measured 4 w+6, couldn't see a heart beat just and empty sac. Thought it was doomed too, but I have now a huge 8 month old DD.
That early it is very inaccurate, the only thing they can tell is if it is intra-utero or not.
You can see heart beat or bean before 7 weeks.

I measured less than 4 weeks when I should have been 6+4. WHen I was scanned again, I should have been 8+6, and was only measuring 6+6. At my 12 weeks scan, I was 12+1, and baby was measuring 12+1, so even a 2-week discrepancy doesn't always mean bad news! I am now 25+5, and baby is a) healthy according to scans and b) kicking the heck out of my internal organs!

If she couldn't even see your ovaries I wouldn't worry about it too much, it was obviously a crap sonographer!

Update,on Monday i had my hcg levels checked again and they had rien to 6117. I had another scan today and sac had grown and she could see a yolk and what 'might' be the fetal pole but it was very tiny.Im measuring about 5w3.
I have to go back for yet another scan in 2wks time.
Maybe im just paranoid but i really dont feel very reassured.DH is estatic with the news but i just keep thinking that maybe it has not really grown and that the dreadful sonographer just missed it last time( she was really rough with the internal scan and i spotted for 5days afterwards).
I am a natural worrier and the baby measuring a wk less and not showing a heartbeat yet is really freaking me.
DH told me to buck up and not complain til i have something definate to moan about, he says today was GOOD news,just wish my mad hormones could see it that way

your doubling hcg level is a definate good sign, so fingers crossed. It sounds good so far.

Baby measuring 6 days less than expected based on a 28 day cycle isn't necessarily cause for panic.
With both DS, and this baby I have been about a week behind expected dates.

This pregnancy I had a scan at 8+6 because of bleeding and measured at 8+0, then a scan at 11+5 which measured 11+0, and a scan at 12+6 which measured 12+1. Baby is fine and healthy and there are no problems.

When it is early days, a few days here and there seem like an age, but please try not to panic. It is really good news that your hormone levels have risen and that the sac had grown and yolk was visible. Fingers crossed for you :)
