Hi all,

I'm 17 weeks pregnant and got a bit of an annoying pain low down. It's quite uncomfortable but I'm not in that much pain that I think I should call anyone. Any suggestions??

Thanks

Hi, I'm also 17 weeks pregnant and getting quite a bit of what I think is round ligament pain. If its sort of where a high cut bikini would sit on the legs bit (if you know what I mean) and is either a dull ache or sometimes a stabbing pain that lasts a couple of seconds then thats probs what it is. Think its to do with generally expanding and stretching.

If you're worried you could always call your midwife for advice?

Think you're right - Seems to have eased off a bit now. Just have to see how it goes I think. Thanks

I've had that on and off from about 18 - 20 weeks onwards. If it's not too bad, and if it comes and goes, I think it's ok - but if it's persistant or gets worse then you could always call, they are quite used to the odd call about this sort of thing!!

Hope all goes well.

I had this around the same point in my pregnancy and it really felt like bad period pains. Needless to say I am now 36wks +3 and baby is very active and healthy. The midwife just said it was ligament pain - your body is stretching to accommodate a growing baby after all :o

hope that helps! Though if you are at all concerned, then it is best to have a chat with your MW
