Hi again, I'm 13 weeks preg and tonight when I picked up ds from school his friend decided to push me right in the side of the belly. It wasn't HARD hard but it was enough to make me step backwards. Should I be worried? I haven't had any pain or bleeding yet, but I'm so worried coz I have had a few mc before :(

Try not to worry. When I was pregnant with DS I got head butted in the tummy by a horse really badly - knocked me to the ground. I think I was roughly 19 weeks at the time. I did go to the hospital and get a trace done for a bit but DS was absolutely fine. The midwife said to think of my tummy as a big jiffy bag protecting the baby At 13 weeks your LO should still be tucked up low down and out of harm's way. If you're worried you could always call your midwife or the hospital for advice, but if youve no pain or bleeding I'd imagine you'll be fine.

Thanks, I was a bit hesitant about callin the mw...I think they will be fed up with me by now!!!! And I do't know what they could do coz they cant use a doppler at 13 weeks can they? Or at least they wont coz it might be hard to find a heartbeat?
anyone else?

I'm pretty sure your baby is is no danger. However, if you're worrying it's a good idea to phone your MW for advice.

I was 8.5 months and fell over on the pavement landing heavily on my bump. Very much shocked and bruised but when checked out I was advised that those babies are well cushioned. I seem to remember falling down the stairs a couple of times too. I imagine at 13 weeks it is even better. Fingers crossed and try not to worry particularly if no pain or bleeding.

I was 8 months pregnanat and measured my length in M&S (oh the shame!) landing right on my bump, baby was fine. But if you are worried maybe call your GP's surgery to see what they advise.

I had bleeding at 13+4 week so went to A&E. They found a heartbeat with a doppler. It did reassure me and stop me worrying. Sure everything will be ok.

I fell this week at 8.5 months. My eldest son stood on the back of my slipper and I flew down on my belly. I was told to come into the delivery suite but mainly because my blood is rhesus negative and you can't risk bleeding. Everything was fine and as gingerwench said, the baby is very well cushioned. Do get checked out if you are worried though.

I had a whoe tray of full Baked Bean cans fall on my Bump when i was pregnant with DS2 and a huge Dog jump all over my bumo when i was Pregnant with DS1, they are both fine. Smile

Thanks girlies! I phoned the mw and within an hour and a half I was scanned! And got to saw lil one waving at me again :) They were lovely in the hospital and understood why I was so worried. All was fine tho thankfully. Thanks for all your reassurances tho :)
