Not an alcohol free wine, but Co-op do a gorgeous sparkling raspberry drink - you'll find it with Schloer and the likes and I think it was about £1.50 - very scrummy!

goodegg · 25/04/2011 14:50

Mmm loving Becks Blue here after being horrified at how disgusting Kaliber was!

Out last night I had an alcohol-free mojito which was lush, so refreshing! Bit pricey in the pub but am going to buy the kit to make at home: ice, lime juice, mint leaves and soda. Yummmm.

goodegg · 25/04/2011 14:51

Oh and sugar! Don't forget that, sugar-free mojito would be rank.

saldoozer · 25/04/2011 15:01

The bavaria wheat beer is the best one i've tried tastes like hoegarden and is usually very resonably proced in tesco. Becks blue and cobra are ok and erdinger alcohol free is good too. [busmile]

twinpalms60 · 11/05/2011 18:51

Sainsbury's Low Alcohol English Cider - Medium Dry / Light & Fruity - 500ml bottle = 78 kcals (calories).

trixymalixy · 11/05/2011 18:55

Sainsburys alcohol free sparkling wine is nice. As is their alcohol free cider.

We also drink a lot of necks blue in this house.

Rootatoot · 12/05/2011 09:44

The alcohol free beer from M&S was quite nice. Tried it early on but since the sickness in 1st trimester, I have been put right off. Both types of alchy free wine I tried at xmas were vile. Smelt like Deepheat muscle rub and didn't taste much better (I imagine ;)

Woodifer · 12/05/2011 10:36

ooh i don't like becks blue so much

prefer erdinger 0% and bavaria (which is also dead cheap)

on the fizzy/ fruit stuff

i think am'e is nicer than schloer, britvic 55 nicer than j2o

tonic water (with lemon/ lime) makes a slightly less sweet alternative to pop or juice like a fantasy G&T

loobylou13 · 15/05/2011 15:59

tesco are doing a 3 for 2 offer on alcohol free kopparberg, and becks blue until 31st may

jenga079 · 15/05/2011 22:06

This is why I love mumsnet... not only can we find out what beer tastes the best, we also get told where it's on offer. Thank you loobylou!

FirstTimeMam2011 · 15/05/2011 22:43

I must try the Bavaria. That sounds good.

At the mo I've been drinking Becks blue and Erdinger.

The Erdinger is nicer, but it has 0.4%, so I guess we would have to drink ten of them to get a bit of a buzz! Yikes! I could only manage 2 of them!

fr00tbat · 16/05/2011 08:14

Becks blue!
Waitrose do a barely tolerable de-alcoholised wine and wine society have a sparking wine without alcohol which is v good.

loueytb3 · 16/05/2011 08:36

Becks blue is lovely - have tried cobra zero but it isn't a patch on the Becks. I have also found a good non-alcoholic white wine by Torres (who make nice wine with alcohol as well). You can get it in Waitrose or delivered by Ocado and I think a couple of of other supermarkets sell it too. It's the closest to drinking white wine that I've found. I think someone has mentioned Fre which is a non-alcoholic red which isn't bad. Also can get it in Waitrose.

Some of the supermarkets do nice low alcohol cider (1%) if you fancy a change. I've tried the ones from tesco and waitrose.

notasgreenasiamcabbagelooking · 16/05/2011 08:57

San Miguel 0.0 or Buckler 0.0 but not sure if you can get them outside Spain.

@ Anitabush, the point is beer is my favourite drink, that's why I'd rather have one than an orange juice. I don't just drink beer for the alcohol content.

eviian58 · 21/06/2014 14:13

With regards to alcohol free shop they stock a lovely red wine called Doce Messes I believe (not quite sure of spelling) Its £9.99 and lovely albeit expensive. As for the low alcohol beers I prefer Cobra to Becks as Becks to me anyway, has an aftertaste to it. Waitrose also do a couple of nice reds.

KateTheHuman · 21/06/2014 21:06

So addicted to Koppaberg Pear Cider (non alcoholic). It's amazing!

Chloris33 · 21/06/2014 21:24

I found an alcohol free white wine at Waitrose, by Natureo. It has quite a nice, delicate flavour, and even my husband thinks it's not bad (he's been trying to not drink in support! Manages it some of the time Smile. )

The Alcohol Free Company does a fantastic range of beers. I don't like lager so don't enjoy Beck's Blue (which seems to be the main alcohol free beer available in pubs.....). I ordered a mixed case of dark beers from this website (quick home delivery) and was so so impressed with what I received. They also do many lagers too. They source the best products from Europe.

pommedeterre · 21/06/2014 22:19

Becks blue!

Kronenberg sans alcool in France but can't find it back in the uk (also was only under 1% so think it was so nice because it had some alcohol in!).

I have one glass of normal wine a week, generally on a Saturday.

RetroHippy · 22/06/2014 01:13

Mahou Laiker (0.8%) is amazing. As far as I know, they only sell it in La Tasca, but if anyone sees it anywhere else, please tell me!!! So much better even than Beck's Blue.

joanofarchitrave · 22/06/2014 01:33

Glad to see another vote for Clausthaler. I could only find it at Waitrose but it was worth going there just for that. This was a few years ago, the choice wasn't that good. IPA did a low alcohol bitter that was horrible but I'm not a massive fan of bitter anyway.

Flackgirl · 30/08/2015 18:44

Both Super Bock and Sagres alcohol free lagers are pretty nice - definitely way better than Becks Blue (imo). Widely available in Portugal, and you can also order them online for UK delivery.

Junosmum · 30/08/2015 23:49

Bavaria 0% for me. Or koppaberg pear 0% cider.
