Renting a TENS machine

How many weeks is it normal to rent it from?

Im 31 weeks but am sure there'll be some kind of waiting list!

I went to Boots. Was great because they didn't have any left, so pulled a brand new one off the shelf for me to rent! No waiting list for me. I think i was something like 38 weeks. If you're going through your health visitor, I'd imagine there might not be that many though - and not sure if all practices do that.

I think it's usually from 37 weeks for a 4 week period with the option to extend to 6 weeks (allowing you to go 2 weeks overdue and have an extra week to return). I bought one on ebay, they resell for about £25-£35 and you just have to replace the pads which cost £5. That way you can have it as early as you want and not have to worry about sending it back.

I hired one from the midwives for £20. Only got round to hiring at 37 weeks but am sure they would let you hire from earlier. Not sure if they do it in every area but worth a phone call.

Hi, I've hired mine from Mothercare it was £26. I didn't get round to sorting it until I was 38 weeks but you can book it now, if you are worried about waiting lists, and they will deliver it to you at 38 weeks. Then you send back after the birth.

I didnt see the point in paying nearly £30 to rent one when i bought my mama tens machine off ebay for £30 and get to sell it afterwards and make the money back, plus iv had it sat safely in my house since about 30 weeks so i knew it was going to be there when i needed it!
Have you thought about looking on ebay to buy?
