Don't know where to start but here goes.

Im almost 35 with a 14 1/2 year old son. Had a horrendous pregnancy & wasn't ever gonna do it again.

Found out I was pregnant 4 weeks after LMP (wasnt trying-have PCOS). Started spotting brown blood at 4+4. At 5 weeks i had awful pain, like i was due a period & was still spotting. Went to the doctors who sent me to the EPAU fearing an ectopic. I was examined & my cervix was closed.

Had a scan which showed i was 5 weeks and the sonographer could see a pregnancy but was too early to see if its viable so have another one on Friday 8th Oct when i will be 6+1.

Blood was taken and when i rang the hospital for the results i was astounded my HCG was 17,724 at 5 weeks. I am now terrified its a molar pregnancy.

Has anyone else had such a high reading? I know it can also mean multiples but i have no pregnancy symptoms and am still spotting with some pain.

Yes a think mine was 25,000 at about 5/6 weeks. Prenancy was fine, uneventful, not multiple. Good luck!!! (BTW sorry but I was quite sick!!)
