Is it bad not to feel any Braxton Hicks at 30 weeks?

All the email newsletters I get (babycentre, mothercare etc etc) say by 30 weeks you will get Braxton Hicks. I;ve not had any - is this normal?

I didn't have any at all with dc1 not even at two weeks over due. I'm sure it's not a problem but speak to your midwife if it wil reassure you

I am 36 weeks with DC2 and have never had braxton hicks. Count your blessings as they can be painful!

yellowflowers · 05/10/2010 18:37

thanks - am sure it is normal. Just usually I am textbook - eg my email newsletter says 'this week you will have backache' and lo and behold I get backache! Must all be in the mind...

I'm 36+2 with DC3 and I've never felt one!

Squitten · 05/10/2010 20:03

I never had any at all with DS1. I'm now 31wks and still not felt anything and don't expect to

CarGirl · 05/10/2010 20:05

I think I finally had a few at the very end of my 4th pregnancy (I was past 40 weeks at that point btw)

I don't think it's that uncommon to not feel/have any.

moogalicious · 05/10/2010 20:06

didn't have any with any of my 3!

LittleB · 05/10/2010 20:06

I never had any with dd, have been having them several times a day with ds, since 22 weeks! No such things a text book pregnancies in my experience!

nymphadora · 05/10/2010 20:07

Didn't feel any with dd1 or 2. Had loads this time. You may be getting tightenings but not feeling them ?

TheNextMrsDepp · 05/10/2010 20:07

Never had them.

In three pgs, the only contractions I had were PROPER ones. With knobs on.

Booboobedoo · 05/10/2010 20:07

Like Libra, I'm 36 weeks with my 2nd , and I've never had one.

Every now and then I think I'm getting one and get excited, but it always turns out to be wind.

didnt know i was having them with DS until i commented to a friend that i cudnt bend at that moment (cause bump have gone v hard) and was told it was BH. never hurt though but everyone feels them diff. So you may be having them but just not be aware of it.
