I'm only 12 weeks and i ache, already.

Very worried that my previous SPD will hit with a vengeance early this time.

Right hip is constantly sore.

And i get mega-headaches, all the time.

rant over.

CisforCookie · 04/10/2010 19:34

My legs look like tree trunks and I can't put my own shoes on. Humph.

Tiggly · 04/10/2010 19:41

Nausea has kicked in big time, aching joints, recurring cold and whopping headaches, the list goes on! Only 9 weeks so should stop grumbling.

StrangewaysHereICome · 04/10/2010 19:43

Tired, bunged up so I sleep with mouth open and come the morning I can't speak til I have drunk a pint of water, back ache, cramp in my calves, tired, headaches, weeing five times a night ...

Just about half way there.

Moan over Wink

JustKeepSwimming · 04/10/2010 19:49

Strangeways - snap re the mouth open & drinking water thing!

Rocklover · 04/10/2010 19:54

Ooh pregnancy is sooo glamourous isn't it? I am 23 weeks so I have a while to go yet as well. My body just doesn't "do" pregnancy I have concluded. I felt rubbish with my first pregnancy too.

Current complaints are:

*Hideous nausea most days
*Upset tummy (thanks to the combo of ibs and pg)
*Constant heartburn/reflux and I mean CONSTANT, even after a sodding drink of water!
*Back ache when I'm trying to sleep
*Majorly low iron, so I am always knackered (but worried about taking iron tabs because my ibs makes them a nightmare for my tummy)
*Not being able to eat anything healthy as I either don't fancy it, or it makes me feel ill

I could go on, but for the sake of those who read this thread, I won't.

Rocklover- I'm 23 weeks too and I feel HUGE. I look like I am already 9mths and I find myself feeling embarassed for my size.

I am dreading the return of PGP as I am already feeling sore and it's just the sheer size and discomfort of the bump right now. I can't sleep on my back anymore and sleeping on my front is out of the question, but I have bought a Holo for this very reason if only I could remember where I've kept it.

Breastfeeding is a nightmare at the moment and I so want to continue it's just so bloody painful. Ah roll on due date.

Rocklover · 04/10/2010 20:07

I feel your pain Breastmilk, I look bloody huge too and bump is a weird shape, so I'm definitely not proud of my pregnancy body.

I can only sleep on my side with a pillow stuffed under my bump and I wake up at least 3 times a night for a wee.

It's pants.

What's a holo?

Ah yes, i was told that spd has changed name to pgp now. I am also feeling huge already, look equivalent to a 5/6 month pg already.

spilttheteaagain · 04/10/2010 20:28

Ooh a thread I can fully participate in Grin

Pregnancy is the pits. No woman should have to go through it Angry

At 19+3 I am fed up of being chronically exhausted, bored of going to bed at 8-8.30pm, pissed off with hurting hips/back, sick of dramatic dreams, fed up of waking to wee 4 times a night, frustrated at constant thirst, hacked off with crappy paracetamol as the only cure for brain shattering headaches. However I am also very grateful to not be nauseous anymore.

And I barely have a bump at all! Cannot believe how much back and hip ache I get despite not really carrying extra weight.

I used to love getting into my comfy bed, now it is a place of exquisite torture. So tired, but there is no position that doesn't hurt, and my sleep is desperately broken and disturbed Sad

Sodding 6.10am alarm clock Angry

spilttheteaagain · 04/10/2010 20:29

Thanks Rocklover, that was cathartic!

frenchfries22 · 04/10/2010 20:43

I would like to join too please!

Sooo tired all the time however when bedtime comes my body and mind suddenly switch on and I spend the whole night awake until 7am

Went to try on maternity jeans today. The changing room was so tiny I could barely fit, no aircon then I had the almighty task of taking my boots off whilst standing up which is somewhat impossible - left sweating and in tears!
Thank you needed this today!!

Can I join as well? Only 12 weeks, but for the last two months I have been constantly nauseous and unbelievably tired even after sleeping for aeons. My skin, which is not fantastic at the best of times, is covered in spots. Weird dreams wake me up most nights and my sense of smell is in complete overdrive, making me wretch at most everyday, non-offensive smells, not to mention the offensive ones.

I also just caught a cold, so now I have a splitting headache and a bleeding nose to top it all off.

Rant over, I feel weirdly elated at having been able to put my feelings down :).

BorisTheBold · 04/10/2010 21:10

Waaaah - I'm 34+3 and really, really, really want this kid out. Tired, but insomnia has kicked in so can't even bloody sleep. Still got another 4 days before maternity leave kicks in.....waaaaaaah Wink

TheBreastmilksOnMe · 04/10/2010 21:10

Holo- def- A lilo with a hole cut out of the middle. Made with ladies with large bellies in mind.

Rocklover · 04/10/2010 21:57

Ahh, this is making me feel better knowing that I am not the only one who hates pregnancy. Every day I drag myself out of bed to iron/do packed lunch/do school run and then dread the rest of the day.

And I am one of the lucky ones, in that I am not working at the moment (long story), so I can lounge at home. However, I feel so shit that most days I hardly do anything and only the barest essentials of housework. This then causes me to feel guilty 100% of the time.

I am so grateful to be having this baby, but I can't enjoy carrying him. I bet my dd and dp think I'm a right bundle of laughs. Smile

Whilst I have enjoyed pregnancy, I can wholeheartedly contribute to this post tonight....I'm due on saturday and have had no major problems, just the gripes that get you down when youre about to pop!

swollen feet and ankles (can only wear crappy flip flops)
swollen fingers so have had to put engagement ring away (my one bit of glamour!)
massive leaky boobs giving me backache up top
backache at the bottom
baby constantly kicking my ribs-actually feel like they are even broken or im having some sort of heart attack!
Bored of mat leave
Bored of sitting in
Can't get up out of my chair
Too knackered when I do go for walks....
Er....I'm sure there's more....my mum's driving me mad too but not specifically pregnancy related Hmm

Thanks for letting me rant!

PaigeTurner · 05/10/2010 13:21

I think I'm due a mini-rant!

Have toothache from a loose filling (can't be fixed til after the birth)
Minging cold and cough for last 2 weeks
Was sick for 18 weeks and hardly left the house
Mental dreams/waking up every night driving me mad
Diagnosed with antenatal depression at 16 weeks
Collapsed outside Gap on Sunday due to being breathless and dizzy
Been breathless since 8 weeks and can only do one thing a day (eg go to supermarket) before crying with exhaustion
STILL gagging over any running water (shower, bath, teeth, dishes etc)

I am finding it pretty damn unpleasant and no I am not excited either!!

Antidote · 05/10/2010 13:31

Quite suddenly feel the size of a whale and about as mobile (was doing so well up to 38 weeks). Bump skin now itching like mad.

Slipped on a manhole cover in the rain on Friday, legs went in unnaturally opposite directions in the manner of a cartoon cat and pelvis feels like it has come apart at the seams.

Can't sleep / lie down for more than 3-4 hours so am trying to cat nap in the day but the doorbell keeps going. Gah.

Last night had loads of BH after supper, all stopped in the bath. Then started up again in bed with really, really deep, strong 'contractions'. Left DH in bed to get some sleep while I had a potter about. 'Contractions' went on till 4am when they stopped and I managed to get about 3 hrs sleep.

Since then NOTHING! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

TumTumGnu · 05/10/2010 14:08

I'm only 5 weeks and I don't think I've had a nights sleep in a week and a half. I've always been a big sleeper, at least 8-9 hours a night but I'm just awake all night at the moment.

I want my sleep back!..please....

Tiggly · 05/10/2010 21:20

TumTumGnu I am exactly the same as you! I can't get to sleep, if I nod off then you can guarantee between 4 and 5am I am awake. I am totally exhausted and in a permanent foul mood thanks to being pregnant! People are saying enjoy pregnancy!Yeah? Bite me!!
