Flu Jab

Supposedly pregnant women are included within the "at risk" group and are advised to have the flu jab.

I'm due in Feb, will be working up until Christmas going to work on the tube and wondering if anyone else is planning to get the jab too?

What's the risk of getting flu when pregnant? Can it harm the baby?

I'm booked in to have next week so all thoughts gratefully received.

To answer your main question though, wr are being advised to have the jab as it has the swine flu vaccine in it which is a risk to you when pregnant and also to your baby. More so than normal flu.

I can't decide whether to have it, but as I am due in November, before flu season gets going, I think I probably won't bother.

I mean swine flu is a risk for pregnant women, not the vaccine.. Although that may be a contentious point Wink
