Am fuming beacause an idiot, who clearly can't read road signs (or for that matter drive) cut me up the the roundabout, endangering bump (all ok, just shaken).
...none of my maternity clothes fit
...Sainsburys self check outs are the most useless things ever invented
...haven't even started to claim child benefit yet but looks like we won't get any anyway
...my baby's late Sad

Is it just me?

I am 39+4 and am in a total rage. I haven't been particularly hormonal during pregnancy so far but now veer between being tearful and raging. I am hoping its a surge of hormones coming before labour!!!

firefly101 · 04/10/2010 16:23

That's exactly what I feel like addicted I hadn't thought of it being pre-labour hormones.

Hope you are not waiting too long :)

lets hope that its hormones and things will start soon! Plus its boring being on maternity leave with no baby to look after, which doesn't improve my mood - I am used to being mega busy all day at work and hanging around the house doesn't suit me.

firefly101 · 04/10/2010 16:52

That's true, when you are busy you just have to get on with things.

So far today, I've oragnised a new mortgage, updated the photo albums and written to my MP.....not ever so productive.

The house is already clean and the freezer full. Hospital bag packed and nursery ready....

Oh well have an NCT lunch tomorrow so that will keep me out of mischief!

firefly you sound just like me! I am only 38+1 though. Hope your baby comes soon.

firefly101 · 04/10/2010 17:01

Thanks narmada I'm 40+3 so could still have a little wait, although I may scream if one more person says "first babies are always late"

Hope your baby doesn't keep you waiting too long :)

yep! it gets worse with every day you go over due date.

you'll find it affects dh too - so much so that he almost hit one of his mates at work when they asked if i'd had the baby yet!

good luck!

firefly101 · 04/10/2010 17:10

Gosh soppy thanks for the warning! I'll keep a look out for signs of agression from normally calm DH Grin

soppypreggyloon · 04/10/2010 17:14

i know! dh NEVER gets mad - only ever seen it once in 11 years and that was an extreme incident.

his mates stopped asking after that!

Milliways · 04/10/2010 17:20

I nearly bit someones head off who asked "haven't you had it yet?" Grin

However, the payback for going 2 weeks over in a heatwave, was a 9lb 6oz boy whose total birth time was

firefly101 · 04/10/2010 17:25

All the family have been calling for news, which is nice, but it not likely that we would have had the baby and forgot to tell them Hmm

That's good to know milliways, will add to my birth plan that I'd like a labour like yours!

I, too, are over 40+3 now.Freezer full, house cleaned [numerous times], washed EVERYTHING, bags packed and dummy run to hospital done. Now very bored!!!!! Keep been told to enjoy the time on my own however, this is my 4th week off work and have done everything i need to do soo now SOO ready for our baby!!!!!

DH keeps predicting every night will be "the night" soo far NOTHING!!! Tried fresh pineapple and walks .DH won t have sex [too odd!!].Carpal tunnel driving me mad!!!!!

robino · 04/10/2010 18:38

Oh bloody hell. Am only 21 wks with number three and appear to be in almost permanent state of fury.... Lord help us all if I go overdue Wink

Honeybee79 · 04/10/2010 18:40

I feel the same. I am 39 + 5 and seriously pissed off with everything. Spent about an hour in tears this morning trying to buy some bludy flip flops to take to hospital with me - obviously no one is selling them at this time of year and I took this very personally!

Feel very uncomfortable, hate the sight of my stomach (vile stretch marks) and basically am just a hormonal, irrational nightmare!

Hopefully not much longer ladies!

maresedotes · 04/10/2010 18:44

It made me so grumpy there are certain people I see on the school run I feel I should apologise to after 3 years.

I was 10 days overdue, ducks were envious of my waddling and I scowled a lot.

Best of luck!

firefly101 · 04/10/2010 19:57

I feel your frustration louisesh, I'm sure if we weren't prepared baby would have decided to be early!

Hope you find some flipflops honeybee. Have you tried the Debehams sale? I saw they had some beach things in there the other day.

Hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well robino. I had better keep a list of people I may need to apologise to maresdotes

DH just called, he is on way home and we are going out for a curry tonight - lets get this baby moving..... :)
