anyone got mclaren xlr with carrycot and can help me?

our buggy arrived this week and I practised on it last night. Anyone know when you put the carrycot on if you also keep the main hood on, so it effectively has a hood coming up from each end?

I have got one, (though baby has not arrived yet. I think we have the hood at each end scenario) and this picture seems to back that up. ( From this site )

Having the main hood whilst using carry cot allows you to put the rain cover over the whole thing as well.
