Yes if you are being very sick.

No if it's lots of blood and you are not retching or vomiting violently.

I used to have traces of blood in mine because I was so violently ill

I get this all the time, the hospital advised me that if its only a few streaks or a teaspoons worth then its probably a burst blood vessel and nothing to worry about, if however your vomiting up pints and pints of blood then you need to seek help asap.

I was getting blood in my sick when I was vomiting a lot - generally mixed in with mucous, and not vast quantities. My GP said it was probably because the stomach acid in my vomit was damaging my oesophagus. She advised me (once the medication I was prescribed to control the vomiting had kicked in) to take gaviscon more frequently and to sleep sitting upright to give my oesophagus a rest. As a result the bleeding stopped. I should also mention that I had bad heartburn from the off, which is not good for the digestive tract.

I had this too. I phoned my GP in a panic and he patiently explained that there is no link between the womb and the mouth Shock Grin

He said I'd just damaged something a bit with all the wretching but there was nothing to worry about
