Paracetamol and steam.

I used olbas oil when I had sinusitis while pregnant. GP said karvol/Vicks etc were fine. This was a few years ago though.

PIPOCA -i can really sympathise. Am 19 weeks, but have had a stinking cold and last night i had very little sleep because pain in my sinuses was so bad. Today i've had 3 steams and also dh bought me some calpol saline nasal spray, which says suitable for pg ladies. Pain is much less tonight, so hope that i sleep much better. Am going to prop myself up with a bean bag too.
HTH and that you soon fell better again.

Also, massage a point in the centre of your hand, roughly where the end of your thumb is when you fold it inwards. It's the pressure point for your sinuses.

I'm the least likely person to believe in alternative therapies but it works, honestly! You know when you've got the right spot as it'll be a little bit tender.

I feel for you - I have terrible sinus pain regularly. In fact, am currently on antibiotics for an infection...

My consultant told me I could take Otrivine, which was a life saver!

I take Beconase. Its on prescription as I have to take it all the time anyway but it is soooo much worse when I am pregnant. I don't know if the over the counter stuff is weaker than the prescripstion stuff, but as we get them free whilst pregnant, go to your doctors. Smile

I'm in Spain and they're always crap about sinusitis, so don't think it's worth going to the dr.
It's making me feel really queasy more than anything as I'm producing so much snot. Sorry TMI. Probably got some MS too as I had it badly with DC1.
Will try a saline rinse.

Thanks

I had this at 13 weeks and got prescribed amoxicillan antibiotic. Although I was past the 12 week mark, I'm sure the doctor said it was safe at any stage of pregnancy. Worth checking out as it cleared mine up within a week. x
